Public Dialogue for Design Exercise

On Saturday March 4th, a group of first year Concordia students in the Design program, will participate in a public engagement activity. It’s going to be something of a simple “show and tell and listen.” Students will be sharing their very preliminary designs that are aimed to eventually become submissions to the “More than waiting for the bus” Environmentally Engaged Ideas Competition. I have asked students to prepare some triggering questions in order to help them to develop a better understanding of various experiences in the public domain,┬áso that these stories might help the students develop a new way of looking at these spaces, so to facilitate more meaningful submissions to the competition. We’ll see how it goes.

The folks at Jeux Wasa will also be there, to allow participants to go through a more fun exercise in thinking about urban design.
